The following is a voluntary testimony concerning endometriosis. For those of you who are experiencing this disease, or know a loved one who suffers, you will be excited and encouraged to read what I have to say. I know now that there is hope.

My first visit to Active Life Chiropractic was on January 22, 2001. I met with Dr. Marc Browner and discussed some annoying clicking I had in my neck which had been going on for years.

September 2000 marked my 46th birthday, along with a life changing experience. I’ve always lived an active lifestyle, being the mother of three grown sons, between their activities, working, exercising, etc. So for me to wake up one morning feeling like I pulled a muscle in my back wasn’t too unusual for me. I took Advil for a few days but found that the pain continued. I went to my doctor for my annual visit, and told him that I was feeling punk for a couple weeks, so he did a complete blood count. He said all was “perfect.” Two weeks later, after taking Advil, Tylenol etc. for the back pain, my stomach was all messed up.

This letter to thank Dr. Marc Browner, Matthew Guerra and the staff of Active Care Chiropractic.

Around six months ago, I stepped into the office with a limp, no feeling in my right leg and foot, major neck and back problems and I had just come straight from a myleogram which is a medical procedure that a patient is given right before the possibility of major back surgery. During such a procedure which turned out to be unnecessary and expensive, the MD stuck an extremely large needle into my lower spine just to prepare me for surgery and caused the most excruciating pain in my 26 year old life.

I left that painful exam with no hope, loss of feeling, the inability to enjoy life, the inability to walk or hold my girlfriend’s hand, the inability to sleep, play basketball with my baby brother, nor could I drive or sit in a law school classroom. I had just graduated a law degree and masters in business and was hoping to continue a great life when the pain took over. Many are still unsure how it occurred but I LOST HOPE. I had been to over 4 chiropractors who were very helpful and I was about to lose hope in the chiropractic world as well until I met Dr. Browner.

December 28, 2001

I find it necessary once again to thank Dr. Browner for making me well.
I fell asleep on my couch the evening of December 21st and work up with a stiff neck which progressively worsened until December 26th, when I woke up in tears. It was necessary for my husband to drive me to Dr. Browner’s office where I received treatments twice that day.

After two visits I am able to function and I feel that I am well on the way to total recovery without the use of medication.

Dear Dr. Browner:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Browner and his staff at Active Chiropractic for their exceptional service. I have been a patient at Active Life Chiropractic for a little over a year. When I came to Dr. Browner, I had severe pain in my neck and shoulder area and could not move my head from side to side. The MRI revealed that I had a pinch nerve in my neck with mild arthritis. Prior to becoming a patient of Dr. Browner, I had used a orthopedic surgeons and physical therapist for two months with no results. Through spinal manipulation and traction by Dr. Browner, within the first month I could move my head, the pain began to subside and I was able to return to work as a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service.

In addition to Dr. Browner being diligent and passionate about his profession, he posses a quality that I feel is rare in the medical field today. He takes the time to talk to all his patients about their concerns.

9-11-2001

In December, 2000, I developed Hives, an allergy which could have been from many things, including pollen, grasses, food etc. A visit to an Allergist only resulted in pills twice a day, two in the morning and two in the evening, and did not always help to eliminate the red, itchy eyes.

My daughter Linda was being treated by Dr. Browner for neck, arm and shoulder problems and his treatments were helping her. A friend of hers, Gwen, was also being treated by Dr. Browner and she asked if he could also help her eliminate the pain she experienced from her Endometriosis. His treatments helped her to be free of pain for the first time in many years, so I thought I would ask Dr. Browner if he had ever treated anyone with Hives and he said to come in and we’ll see what we can do.

Dr. Marc Browner:

While attending one of the Computer Shows six months ago, I ran across your concession towards the back of the main floor. I was very impressed with your presentation and although I was already seeing another Doctor of the Chiropractic Profession, I decided to follow through with your “Consultation Health Pass.” I am very happy that I did!

I have been suffering with several herniated/bulging discs for about seven years now, in addition to a severe sports related injury. Dealing with the “everyday” stress that comes as part of our lives is one thing, but there are other sources of stress that aggravate my condition as well.
